Course Dates

Find Education is an established education provider and language school accredited by the British Council, ABLS and a member of English UK offering English language courses, junior summer camps, International Foundation programmes and GCSE Easter Revision Courses in Oxford.

Preparing for GCSE exams can be stressful and challenging, especially since the introduction of linear A-Levels mean that universities are now putting a much greater emphasis on GCSE results when assessing applications.

 

Our GCSE Easter Revision Courses have been designed specifically to help students maximise their grades, improve their study skills, gain confidence and exam practice guided by top educational specialists in their fields like Dr Javier Takamura.

Early Bird Special Offer | 1-week | 2 subjects - £650

Valid for bookings completed before 28th February 2022.

The full-time Easter Revision courses include 25 hours of tuition per week (2 subjects + study skills, exam techniques & a mock exam) and lunch provided in Ruskin College.


The half-day Easter Revision courses include 13 hours of tuition per week (1 subject + study skills & a mock exam), but lunch is not included.


Accommodation is provided at Ruskin College in single standard rooms (with shared bathrooms) on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner included).

Dr Javier Takamura

History, Medieval and Modern Languages

Javier holds a PhD from the University of Oxford. He did his first degree in Economics but returned to do a second degree then masters in History, a subject he has been passionate about since a young age. His research has focused on the Early Modern Period, from the Sixteenth Century as well as Medieval and Modern languages. With a teenage son himself who recently took his GCSEs, he brings not only academic expertise and practical know-how but understands the challenges these exams can have on the student and their family.

Steven Antoniou

History, Government & Politics

Steven has been a professional educator for 20 years, specialising in GCSE and A-Level History and Government & Politics and he is also an examiner for Pearson-Edexcel. As Foundation Politics Module Leader, his responsibilities included writing exam papers, markschemes, moderating & curriculum development. Steven is also an examiner for Pearson-Edexcel. His duties entailed providing highly supportive, pastoral care as an established UCAS Tutor.

Lynda Plenty

IGCSE English, Study Skills

Lynda an Oxford-based EFL tutor, specialising in IGCSE English and study skills. She has been a tutor since 2004 and has worked at various higher education institutions in the UK and abroad including Oxford Royal Academy and Beijing University in China. Lynda also has a strong background in Psychology and Counselling and enjoys empowering teenage students.

Marie Jones

Marketing, Business, Communication, Media and English Language

Marie is an experienced Marketing, Business, Communication, Media teacher in schools, further education, universities and summer schools. With 15 years teaching and training not only in Oxford and London but also further afield such as time spent in China, Kurdistan and Moscow, Marie also brings considerable expertise in the students’ well-being and pastoral care which makes her an extremely popular teacher. She is noted on her expertise in creating innovative and exciting ways of teaching, training, lecturing and managing. Marie says: “students are at the forefront of everything I do”.

Gerry Takamura

English Language and Literature, Academic Skills

Gerry Takamura has over 25 years teaching and management experience in the UK. She specializes in English, History, Business studies and academic skills. Gerry is originally from the east of England but now lives in the historic city of Oxford. She really enjoys supporting students of all ages and helping them to achieve success. She is passionate about education and making lessons informative and enjoyable.

The  Find Education Easter Revision courses take place at Ruskin College in Headington with accommodation provided on-site.

Residential and non-residential places are both available.

Ruskin College located in Headington, just 10 minutes walk from Headington Shops bus stop. The recently refurbished college building offers spacious, modern classrooms with interactive whiteboards, a spacious cafeteria with fresh food and snacks in a relaxed environment, away from distractions.

Residential accommodation is provided on site. Our residence is safe, comfortable and provides an ideal environment for studying.


Students stay in single study bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities. Breakfast and dinner are served in college canteen and arrangements can be made for those with special dietary requirements.
