Terms and Conditions 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR OUR SUMMER CAMPS ‘FIND EDUCATION’

 

Find Digs Ltd is operating under the name ‘Find Education’.

 

These Terms and Conditions apply to all students; regardless if booked individually or through an agent.

 

Payment and Deposit

 

For group bookings: 20% of total amount due on signing the agreement. The payment must include all and any bank transfer charges.

Remaining Balance must be paid to Find no later than six weeks prior to students’ arrival. Education

For individual bookings: 20% of total amount due on completing the individual booking form.

Remaining Balance must be paid to Find Education no later than six weeks prior to students’ arrival.

 

Airport transfers

 

Airport transfers are not included in the fees and will only be arranged upon request.

 

Cancellation

 

We strongly recommend that students take out insurance to cover fees and costs in case of cancellation or early departure.

All cancellations must be made in writing and take effect from the date we receive such notice. The following charges apply for courses cancelled.

Cancellation fee 4 weeks or more before commencement: 50% of the programme. Less than 4 weeks before commencement: 90%. No fees are refunded once the student has commenced the programme.

If a student has booked and paid through a representative the refund will be made to the representative.

 

Visas

 

Where a visa is required, supporting documentation will be issued by Find Education, once 20% of the group deposit has been paid.

In the event that the visa application is declined, the following terms shall apply, provided that sufficient proof of the refusal is provided to Find Education.

If proof of visa refusal is received by Find Education two months or more prior to arrival, then the student will be refunded in full less a £40 per student administration charge.

If proof of visa refusal is received three weeks to two months prior to arrival, then the student will be refunded 80% of the total amount less a £40 per student administration charge.

If proof of visa refusal is received one week to three weeks prior to arrival, then the student will be refunded 40% of the total amount.

 

General Rules

 

The course rules outlined below are designed to ensure that all the students and staff of Find Education (and its agents) are able to enjoy their stay free from any unpleasant, intimidating or aggressive behaviour and in safety.

The breach of any rule stated below may, if deemed significant, or prejudicial to other students or staff of Find Education (or its agents), result in dismissal from the programme. Furthermore, any student who breaks the law or displays aggressive, intimidating or persistent or inappropriate anti-social behaviour may be dismissed instantly from the programme. Should a student face instant dismissal, the student will be withdrawn from the programme with immediate effect and will need to return home at his/her expense at the earliest possible opportunity.

 

  • Students are expected to attend all meals, classes and arranged activities and excursions. Attendance registers are being kept.

  • All damage to property, equipment and rooms will be charged to the student.

  • Gratuitous or wilful damage to school property, public property or other students' property may result in dismissal from the programme.

  • Consumption or possession of alcohol by students of any age is not permitted and will result in dismissal from the programme.

  • Drug-taking or possession of drugs is illegal, is not permitted and will result in instant dismissal from the programme.

  • Aggressive, intimidating or persistent or inappropriate anti-social behaviour towards another student or member of staff will result in dismissal from the programme.

  • Any student who leaves the accommodation after lights out may be dismissed from the programme.

  • We expect students to behave reasonably at all times (including when online or using any form of messaging or social media) towards other students and school staff and to respect cultural, racial and religious differences.

  • All students are expected to uphold the core British values of democracy, individual liberty, tolerance and rule of law.

 

Welfare

 

We try to ensure students’ welfare at all times. Full details can be found in our Safeguarding & Student Welfare Policy and all parents/guardians must complete a parental consent form.

Students need to be in good mental and physical health when starting a programme. Any matters relating to health must be declared upon application.

 

All group leaders with any under 18s must have a ‘certificate of good conduct’ or ‘certificate of criminal record’ from their country of origin. Group leaders must be over the age of 20 years old when they arrive at any of the Find Education centres.

Students must follow all the rules including curfew times. Students who do not follow the rules may be dismissed from the programme.

 

All students must arrive with appropriate accident, medical and travel insurance. Proof of this may be requested on arrival.

Changes

 

Find Education reserves the right to change details of its services, including courses, facilities, accommodation and course dates, where circumstances beyond the company’s control necessitate such changes. Services are defined as excursions, catering, bookings, timetables, lessons, evening activities, accommodation and dates.

 

Changes to enrolments

 

Find Education reserves the right to charge an Administration Fee of £45 each time a centre is changed or cancelled after a place has been confirmed. Additionally, when a change request for a previously confirmed accommodation is received less than 7 days in advance of the scheduled arrival date, an equivalent week’s accommodation penalty fee will be charged. These fees will not apply to upgraded or extended courses.

 

Accident & medical insurance

 

Every student must have appropriate insurance and provide a document with the student’s name and date of coverage as proof. Copies of all such insurance policies and evidence that all premiums have been paid needs to be sent to Find Education. The company recommends that all students take our own insurance which is tailored to the needs of international students. Find Education is able to provide insurance for all students at a cost of £20 per person per week.

 

Resolution of dispute

 

In the event of a dispute between an individual student and the school, procedures are in place to facilitate the resolution of the dispute, in accordance with Find Education Complaints Policy. Any complaint should first be made to the student’s Centre Manager/Academic Director. Each complaint will be fully investigated provided that it is received within a month of the course ending and all fees have been paid.

 

Liability

 

Find Education, its staff, representatives, agents, shareholders and directors will not be liable for loss, damage, cost or injury to persons or property howsoever caused, except where liability is expressly imposed by law. Find Education will not be liable in the event that any service contracted to be supplied by Find Education becomes impossible or unforeseeably impracticable or penal to supply for any reason or any cause outside the control of Find Education.

 

Data Protection

 

Find Education will need specific personal information from each student in order to process their application and secure their Summer Camp participation. Each student when signing their application form will be asked to give their consent for their personal information to be kept securely by Find Education and that such information will be held and distributed to the relevant departments of Find Education and their providers of education, accommodation and any other services related to the Summer Camp.

In the event that any of the students wish to withhold any of their personal information at any time, they will need to notify Find Education immediately in writing.

Find Education confirms that all personal information provided by the students will be kept secure and used only for the purposes of processing the students’ application and offering the best service possible throughout the students’ studies.

 

Promotional activity

 

The details of the summer programme have been published in good faith. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of all published material. Find Education does reserve the right to make all necessary alterations. The client will be notified immediately if such changes are made.

Sample programmes featured in marketing materials are for illustrative purposes and Find Education reserves the right to change these when required.

Find Education reserves the right, unless we are advised to the contrary by the parent/guardian in writing or the parental declaration form, to use these photographs or video clips as part of Find Education promotional material.

Students will be asked to fill out a questionnaire at the end of the course. Find Education reserves the right to use this material in future promotion, unless otherwise stated by the parent/guardian.

 

Personal Information

 

  • We keep your information in electronic and paper format.

  • Some of the personal information you supply may be shared with accommodation providers or airport transfer/ meeting services.

  • Under UK law we must give information to UK visas and immigration if required to do so.

  • In order to fulfil our obligations to our accreditation bodies, in some cases, to the British Authorities, it is necessary for us to request a copy of your passport and visa if applicable, and to have contact details for you including a mobile number and an emergency contact, usually your closest family member (next of kin) in your country. You must agree to provide these details and keep them up to date if they change.

  • Students and parents must disclose any necessary medical information when the application is made to ensure the school and the accommodation are suitable for the student’s needs.

 

Public Holidays and arrival and departure days

 

If a programme includes a public holiday, then there is no reduction in the course fees. Programmes are structured on a 7 night or 14 nights; discounts will not be offered if a client elects to stay for 13 or 6 nights.

 

Force Majeure

 

Find Education is not liable in the event where it is unable to fulfil any service to which it is contractually bound because of fire, natural disaster, acts of government, failure of suppliers or subcontractors, acts of terrorism, labour disputes travel delays and cancelation or other reasons which are outside its control.

English Law

 

English Law 

English Law shall apply to the contract and any non-contractual disputes arising therefrom, and the parties agree to submit only to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. These terms and conditions must be read in conjunction with the contract for each booking and these terms and conditions together with the agency agreement constitute a legally binding contract.

Accreditation

Find Education (formerly Angle Education) are accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English language in the UK and is a member of English UK.
